Shinku Tatsu is an Eastern Themed Gay Resort. We strive to create a relaxing and RP Immersive environment suitable for a variety of adult-oriented leisure activities, with a focus on providing a space for gay, queer, and curious males to safely pursue romantic, consensual relationships with each other. Looking for Work?
First off, thank you for showing interest in applying to Shinku Tatsu.
Below are the basics anyone hired by us should be aware of, please review, and if at the end you still wish to apply to us, fill out the application. You can list any questions you may have in your application. I know it seems like a lot to read, but these are things we will cover regardless during your interview.
1. Who are we?
Shinku Tatsu is the name of the Community, Discord, and ONE of our venues.
Overall, we are a gay themed Community who strive to create a relaxing and RP Immersive environment suitable for a variety of adult-oriented leisure activities, with a focus on providing a space for gay, queer, and curious males to safely pursue romantic, consensual relationships with each other.
Our venues include: Shinku Tatsu and Tantra. Both venues fall under the same overall banner of Shinku Tatsu with different Officers managing each venue.
Commonly asked question: Can I work both venues? Yes.
Commonly asked question: Do I need to make a separate application for the other venue? No.
2. Expectations:
First and foremost, working for the venue is not a second job, and "we" are not your boss. This is meant to be fun.
Attendance: Real life always comes first. If you are working for the venue but do not feel up for working a certain night, then by all means, communicate you do not intend to work that night. If you can only work one of the two days, also ok, just communicate that. On the flip side, if you only show up once or twice here and there with no real communication, we will politely let you know your services are no longer needed.
Signups: Signups are posted usually a day after an event is concluded. You are allowed to sign up for as many positions as you wish to work. If you are not selected to work a certain night, you will go on the priority list for the next work day. If you want to work, make sure to always include "Standby" as apart of your reactions. Note: Do not signup as Standby if you are in fact, not available to work. Only signup if you know you can step in for someone else if they have to call out. It is perfectly ok to Callout, in fact it is expected. Burnout is real, and the main reason we keep a large roster of Staff is to allow people to have a break.
Dress Code for Staff: At the end of the day, we work in a Bath House, with that being said, a level of professionalism is still to be expected from staff, bathing suits, small clothes, jock straps, towels is the minimum expected attire while on the job. Outside of going full on nude, wear pretty much whatever you want that makes sense for our environment.
RP Etiquette: While on the job, we expect people to be true to their characters, but also understand their actions reflect upon the Venue as a whole, so a bit of professionalism goes a long way.
Come prepared: When starting your shift as an attendant please ensure you have at least 50k on your character. Why? The way we trade gil is thus: Patron Makes order > Attendant places order with Bartender > Bartender trades order to Attendant > Attendant pays the Bartender the base cost of the items per the menu > Attendant trades item to Patron > Patron pays for said item + tip > Attendant is repaid their money and keeps their tips.
Come early: We ask that working staff are to show up 15 minutes before opening. This is to get situated and have everything sorted out. This isn't to be a big deal, but rushing to set up as patrons arrive is not ideal. In this 15 minutes, if you are not arrived your position will be offered to a standby unless you communicate that you be online shortly. Communication is key and we understand that real life happens.
Be respectful of people's time: If you need to leave half way through your shift, half of your pay will be going to the person who is stepping in to cover the rest of it. It's nothing personal, but you are being paid for your time, and if you cannot fulfill the full bit then it is only fair the other person is compensated. On that same note, if you signed up for a position and realize you cannot fulfill that role due to unforeseen reasons, please communicate early so the Officers can find a replacement.
Be knowledgeable of the Venue: Please review the Carrd, understand what is on the menu and the Rentable rooms available. When changes happen to the menu or other such services, we ask that staff brush up and review changes. A lot of time goes into making these changes and we rely on the staff to also relay this information onto guests.
Be aware of Patrons: We ask that attendants focus more on talking with newer guests or lone patrons. We want everyone to have fun, to include the Patrons. You can still RP with your friends, but we need to focus on creating an inclusive environment for everyone, and to give a little more focus on others. There's nothing worse than going to a venue and feeling completely ignored after all.
Alternate Characters: Alts are limited to only one main character and one alt. Since we have a robust roster, if we have an alt for absolutely every character, we would have too many characters listed upon our Carrds. With that being said, if you want a separate Alt for Tantra, that is acceptable.
Do not abuse your authority: With the promotion to Staff, you will have higher permissions in the Discord. Please note, the BOTS in the Discord record when things are changed. Please do not abuse the increased authority that comes with your role. I.E. Don't change people's nicknames to something silly or offensive. Discussion said in Staff chat, both in the Discord and in game, are privileged and should not be shared with anyone not on the Staff. Also, understand that your actions reflect on the Leadership, please do your best to keep Shinku Tatsu in a positive light.

| Masseur: | The Masseur role is an optional role for any Staff not working one of the other roles for an opening. Workers will wear the "LFP" tag. They will mingle in with the other patrons, RP as they desire, and offer their services. Masseur is a commissioned + tips based job. | Tips |
